Crimp terminals are low temperature extrusions on wires, cables or connectors on electrical equipment. In fact, cold-pressed terminals have many names. Cold-pressed terminals are also called insulated terminals, air connectors, etc., which are accessory products used to achieve electrical connection. In the industry, we divide cold press terminals into the category of connectors. When it comes to cold-pressed terminals, you may be unfamiliar, but when it comes to connectors, you should be familiar with them. So in our daily life, do we know what we need to pay attention to when using cold-pressed terminals?
1. It is necessary to fully understand the cold-pressed terminal to be operated, be familiar with its operation method, and ensure correct operation; the cold-pressed terminal should be identified by color code or mark before connection, or whether the corresponding model corresponds, and ensure that the positioning is correct when connecting to each other; Pay special attention to prevent the socket with pins from being inserted by mistake, otherwise it will damage the cold-pressed terminal and cause accidental electric shock; it should be ensured that the cold-pressed terminal is connected in place. Examination through speculum.
2. When the cold-pressed terminal is terminated, the termination inspection shall be carried out in strict accordance with the corresponding termination specifications or requirements, and the node serial number shall be terminated. The maximum insulation thickness between the selected cable conductors should match the contact spacing, and the cable cores should match the contact terminals. When contacts are crossed and paralleled.
3. When soldering, choose a soldering iron with corresponding power according to the diameter of the bare wire. The welding time of each contact piece generally does not exceed 5S. Care should be taken not to allow flux to penetrate into the insulator, so as not to cause a drop in the insulation resistance of the product.
4. When the cold-pressed terminal is in a separated state, a protective cap should be installed or other dust-proof measures should be taken; if the cold-pressed terminal is not connected for a long time and separated, it can be attached between the plug and the socket.
5. When cleaning the cold-pressed terminals, use a silk cloth dipped in anhydrous ethanol and wipe it dry before use. Chemical solvents (such as acetone) that may adversely affect connectors are not permitted.
6. Cold-pressed terminal When connecting or disconnecting, try to make the axes of the plug and socket overlap, and straighten the cable to prevent the plug from being subjected to tangential force, so as to prevent the cable from sagging and causing damage to the connector.
